Anna Nosowicz Ruiz – „Spanish Light”: solo exhibition in Xanadu Gallery in Warsaw, Poland.
The exhibition presents works that came straight from Spain, where the artist lives and works. It is an extraordinary energetic painting, full of colours reflecting southern warmth and spirit. Spanish light has a huge impact on the artist’s latest work – she has brightened the palette, selecting more contrasting colours and less obvious combinations. Abstractions of Anna Nosowicz Ruiz are not only full of colour, but also contrasts that come from the clashes of bold, expressive brush strokes with geometric motifs and big monochromatic surfaces. The artist is basing mostly on her intuition, translating freely her impressions and experiences on the language of painting. She does that very skillfully, using rich painting workshop, which she meticulously put together at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and developed during artistic residencies in Spain.
